So Malachi is 3 and we've been trying to potty train him for months now... this is Joe's second time going through this- his daughter Haiku is 6 and obviously potty trained. So while frustrating, he knows the drill. I, however, have not gone through this before. So I am doing my best, but it's been a little irritating... I hate changing 3 year old diapers... it's gross... I suck it up and do it, but still.
So last week when the kids' mom came to get them we were talking about potty training and how she's making it work. She gave us the secret.... a kiddy seat for the toilet with handles!! Last night- for the first time- Malachi pooped in the potty!!! I'm so psyched!! He was so excited when he did it and we've been cheering non-stop about it. Hopefully we've figured out that this is what we should be doing from now on...
I feel like I'm going to be a lot better about this when Silas, he's 2, goes through this potty training mess... :-D
